Always a five star experience. Good home cooked food and plenty of it. Nothing fancy. Just good home cooking. Staff were all very nice and friendly. We typically go during the breakfast hour but we have had lunch there quite often. Worth the visit if you are hungry and want decent food!
When we decide to indulge and go out for breakfast, this is our go to, for all the right reasons, that welcome feeling for anyone, the great menu, the fantastic service and as always their great prices.
Burger was amazing. This was my first visit here. Seems a little pricey for what it is, but that seems to be everywhere now. I'll go back for sure
First off, their breakfast foods are amazing! It's worth the wait if you have to. Food comes out pretty quickly. The runners are on top of refills and clearing empty dishes off the table. Everyone is very friendly. There is one member of the wait staff that we cringe when we're in their section but overall, we visit the restaurant at least 2-3 times a month. Good job Classic Cafe!!
First time visiting and it was delicious! Chicken fried steak dinner was delicious - peppery gravy, great mashed potatoes, tender beef. My grandma's omelette was overstuffed to the point of spilling out and she loved it and my mom devoured her turkey sandwich and beef vegetable soup. The owner Mary singing made up songs as she delivered the food of was the highlight and the service was fantastic.
This was our 1st time visiting Classic Cafe. The food was hot and very yummy. The beef vegetable barley soup was home made and delicious. The staff was friendly and entertaining. They all worked together and helped each other out. The owner said several workers had been there since they opened 31 years ago. One of the owners sang to you when she brought your food to you. We will definitely be back to eat at this little gem.
This place is awesome. Home cooking at its best. You really do feel like you are sitting at your aunts table and she’s trying to get you to eat because you’re too thin! Blueberry pancakes will make you cry either way joy, and when your done either way your meal you’re a little sad that it’s over. I highly recommend the pie, even if you go for breakfast!

You can really tell they put a lot of care into everything they serve, and the friendly service just made the whole experience even better. It’s definitely one of those hidden gems that I’ll be recommending to everyone I know.
Classic Cafe is the heart of Sylvania dining. I recently went in for the chopped sirloin steak and it was exactly what I needed. I got both the mashed potatoes with gravy and the hash browns—no regrets there! Everything was savory and perfectly cooked. My lady ordered the salmon croquettes, and they were fantastic—crispy and authentic. We washed it all down with their hot apple cider, which was the perfect cozy touch. The staff makes you feel like family the moment you walk in.
